I am at a hosting conference and a presenter started to talk about an alternative software from Open-Xchange that is an open source that looks and smells like Exchange. While I know that Cisco probably has not certified it, has anyone tried to see if this software will work for Unity and then MeetingExpress and all.
From what I understand this does not include a full "wrapper" that emulates AD - without it you're dead in the water. A big part of the integration between all products and Exchange goes through properties add to/pulled from AD - all the interfaces wind around it and it's specific to AD, not generic LDAP queries that can be massaged to work in a generic way. I can almost gurantee you this wont work properly and I can certainly gurantee you that it hasn't (and wont be) tested or supported any time soon if at all.
