1) It does not matter, all you need to make sure of is that the userid is ac and password is 12345, it can be changed via the acconfig.exe tool
2)They can be the same, however they are independant
3)Correct, the user line number is either line 1,2,3 etc, an actual line on the device. Basically you can configure the hunting to allow calls to as many lines on that user's phone as you you want, abviously up to the maximum lines available on that phone. So, for 7960 for example that would be up to 6 lines, so assuming you configured the hunt list to use line 1-6, then the first call will ring line 1, if line is busy it will ring line 2, etc, if all lines are busy or one does not answer then the call is diverted the the "always route" member. Keep in mind that becuase of JTPAI limitations AC can only present one call per DN at a time (no call waiting).
Got any idea what happens when a user configured with a 6-line phone is associated with a 2-line phone? We've got 3 people in an attendant pool who expect to be able to log on to any of a number of phones -- a mix of 7940s and 7960s. I'd like to believe the hunt will pass over those entries.
The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
