Hi,

I received 20 avaya 9630 phones and need to add them to CCM 7.1.5. When i connect them to network on display is  dhcp:

and then waiting for LLDP... and still nothing... the phone is unable to receive the ip address. As phone was used  on boot I hit:

Mute key.. then spell CRAFT (27238) hit # and log to administration menu.

in menu I try reset values, restart phones.... and when that didn't help i try whit setting vlan.... but that also dint help....

All ip address are set to 0.0.0.0, but in phone status i noticed protocol used h323.

Probably i need to change protocol to sip or  ???

what i need to do to phone receive ip address... (when I connect cisco or linksys phone it receive dhcp...)

I aprishiate any help.

Thx,

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

You are most correct in that these phones will need to connect to

CUCM as 3rd party SIP phones. It seems the Avaya 9600 series are

shipped with a default H323 config so you will need to perform a conversion

to SIP

There are some steps here (I have not performed this conversion)

Cheers!

Hi Rob,

thx for your replay. But still nothing, phone is not receiving ip address. I try to change from h323 to SIP as written in instruction but... still nothing, and when I go to phone status is still written h323. but in SIG menu protocol is set to SIP (i repeat few time this operation and reset phone) but nothing.

I also try setting ip address of CCM manually (call server) and it sey discovered and thats it...

Regards Ivan
