Booting Unity in to Safe Mode

On a Unity 4.0.4 sr1, it appears to be exhibiting the signs of Microsoft bug found at this site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265829/ (that is, the SA page is not coming up, the Control Panel doesn't comeup properly). For a fix, I will need to boot it in to safe mode and let the Services, browser, etc. update, then restart the computer normally. Are there any issues with safe mode affecting the Unity application? Thanks.

Hi -

I don't think there will be any problem booting into safe mode, but I'd like to offer a recommendation first. Contact TAC - there have been many SA bugs with Unity that may even be addressed in a corrective engineering change for your version. Give Cisco a chance first to troubleshoot, but do indeed mention the MS bug you found and let them decide if it applies in your case.
