Browse to Unity via IE Favorite

Aloha -

When I bookmark Unity at "https://x.x.x.x/web/sa" and go to it, I get this error:

Missing live session flag.

For some reason, /web/global.asa did not fire.

Check that this file is present.

This problem could also be related to DNS issues.

Cannot continue.

If I just open a new window and type that it works fine. Any idea what gives? Unity version if 4.04. This happens on multiple computers.

Mahalo! Merry Christmas!

Re: Browse to Unity via IE Favorite

Check your bookmark and be sure it's just https://x.x.x.x/web/sa. If you created the bookmark after you were logged in, the URL is gonna be something like https://x.x.x.x/web/sa/FrameASP/StartFrame.asp and I've seen that cause an error if that's your bookmarked page.

Thanks for the reply. I've made sure to just bookmark the "https://x.x.x.x/web/sa" URL. No arguments or whatever with it. This worked previously, and sometimes still works. Very bizarre.

Any other ideas...? : )

Thanks again,

Hi Ben -

You might take a look at this SA troubleshooting doc, if you haven't already, and check out the 3 scenarios for "did not fire" -

as well as, in the same doc, the settings for proper browser config -

Lastly, if you are using the IP address in the URL and you can ping the server from one of the trouble workstations, I doubt it is a DNS problem. I'm more inclined to blame the browser here, especially since it works sometimes, other times not.

Hope this helps! Ginger
