Client wants the caller to hear ringing before they get picked up. Currently when someone calls from the outside, CUCM drops it off to ATC after 1 ring the phone call is placed with MOH. The client wants the phone to ring instead of play music so that the party calling gets a "live" person every time and not put on hold. They can be put on hold after the recepionist has spoken to them.

Is there a way to get the MOH turned off and let the incoming call ring or once CUCM drops the call to the que is it's fate pretty much sealed?

This in an option that was added in 8.0.3. There is a checkbox on the General Properties page labeled Hold Queued Calls; uncheck it and you'll get ringback.
