Call Forward with Network Based Account Codes.

Cisco Forum:

I support a customer who used network based account codes.  If a user places an IP Phone call, the call is routed out to the network at which point the caller hears a tone and then enters an account codes which then allows the call to complete.  All this works as desired.

The customer issue is with forwarding an IP Phone to an off-site number.  The softkey process of forwarding the IP Phone to an off-site number works in that after dialing 9-1-NPA-NXX-XXXX the IP Phone generates the acceptance tones and is forwarded to the off-site number.  However, any caller to the forwarded IP Phone gets a request from the network for an account code.  Does Call Manager have the ability to append additional digits to a forwarded number?  These appended digits would be the account code of the person forwarding the IP Phone.

As a semi-related issue, if an IP Phone user dials a long distance number, can they keep dialing their network account code and have Call Manager store that number for relaying to the network when the network requests the account code?  This option would let the caller enter both their desired destination number quickly followed by their network account code rather than waiting until they heard the network tone requesting the account code to be entered.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

Neither option is possible right now, if you need to do call forward you need to make sure it's routed via a RP with no FAC/CMC to avoid that.

And CUCM will not send the DTMFs you dial before the call is connected, neither you can dial the whole string and have CUCM send them automatically once it connects.
