I have UNITY 4.x and CCM 4.x. I try to input an extension in the profile of the call handler. When i dial the extension i get "your call cannot be completed as dialled". I have two Unity servers in a cluster.I cannot make changes to the other server.
When you place a call, the extension you are dialing needs to be configured on the Call Manager somewhere. Most often this is accomplished by using a dummy device such as a CTI Route Point. Assign this CTI Route Point the extension of the call handler you've configured. Set the Route Point to Call Forward All to voice mail.
So, when you dial the extension, it hits the route point and will forward to Unity, which matches the call handler configured with the same extension and will play the greeting.
