Call Handler

I would like all callers to our single emergency number be given the option of either;

1. Able to leave a message without any ringing or

2. Simply continue to make the called number ring

Can someone please advise how I can acheive this?

This is all controlled by the PBX, not Unity. If this is CallManager you can assign the emergency number to a line and then assign the line to one or more phones. Don't configuration CFNA or CFB. That will allow the line to ring forever. When you want to forward straight to Unity you can enable CFA for the line and then the phones won’t ring at all.

We have a CallManager. I probably didn't explain myself clearly.

Our requirement is upon ringing the emergency number the caller will either be able to leave a message if they select that option or simply let the called phone ring until someone answers it.

Is it possible to configure a script so that callers will be asked to select if they want to leave a message or ring that extension.
