Changing Subscriber Greeting Length

We are running Unity VM Only version 4.04. We have some users that need to record long subscriber greetings. It seems like there is a limit on the greeting of 1 minute 30 seconds. You get a message while you are recording of "You have reached your recording time limit". Is there a way to change this setting and increase the time limit?

Hi Rafael,

This can be changed via Class of Service Greetings Settings.Set up a COS that allows the length of Greeting that these users need or just adjust the existing COS that they are using;

Class of Service Greetings Settings

The class of service greetings setting specifies the maximum length of greetings.

Subscribers > Class of Service > Greetings Page

Maximum Greeting Length in Seconds

Select the recording length allowed to subscribers assigned to this COS for recording greetings.

The range is 1 to 999 seconds; the default is 90 seconds.

If enabled, a warning tone will sound before the maximum greeting length is reached

This can be changed from Unity Web Admin -> Class of Service -> Greetings. Make sure that you choose the COS for the user group that you would like to change.

Thank you very much for your help. This fixed it. Another quick thing along the same lines. Where can you change the length of Call handler Greetings?

You are very welcome! I have never seen a maximum length for Call Handler Greetings, have you encountered a problem along these lines when trying to record one? Let me know, maybe I misinterpreted the question :)
