Checking for errors on SQL->repl Monitor -> Dist. Agents

Unity 4.21 while reviewing the Monitoring and Maintaining Cisco Unity Failover URL says to check the SQL d/b for errors when performing manual failover and failback. I get "No replicated transactions are available" in the Distribution Agent. Not sure if this is expected behavior due to lack of activity or if it is an error. What should I be looking for and are errors flagged more obviously? Thanks.

Re: Checking for errors on SQL->repl Monitor -> Dist. Agents

the 'no replicated transactions are available' is OK.

this states that at the last status update for that SQL DB, that there were no SQL replications required due to there being no new changes made on the DB.

what you really want to look out for is a red "X" that will identify the subscription to the DB is broken (replication broken). if this is the case, you must fix the break which is relatively easy.

(much easier than the microsoft link below tends to relay)

please see the following link for more info on SQL replication troublshooting:

(also, if you're really in a jam with SQL, there are many good SQL forums with excellent DBAs to help you)
