Cisco 2800 Series Router CME Configuration with firewall
I have a single site CME setup. We have a new 2800 series Router with CME 4.1 and two Ethernet interfaces, separate 24 port 3560 POE switch, and I am looking for the best way to configure this with a firewall. Lets say I had the router data side at 192.168.1.1 on the 2800 and have an ASA with an address 192.168.1.254. Should I just be connecting the ASA to another switch on the 3560 switch and put a route statement in the ASA for the 192.168.1.1 address of the router or should I be connecting it somewhere else or configuring it in some other way that is the best practice so we have communication etc. in this sort of situation?
