Cisco Auto Attendant Customization

Hi,

I need ur expert advice regarding Cisco Auto Attendant feature.

Basically i am trying to install cisco AA with call manager 4.2.

NOw the customer requirement is to provide a voice that should ask

"if u know the desired extension ,please dial now or press 0 for the

operator"

The default AA that comes with CCM gives u the option of pressing 1

if u know the extension,2 if u know the name or press 0 for operator

.

Now i want to change the AA according to my requirement .

CAn i do that??

I donot want to use IP IVR or TCL script on router.

waiting for ur response.

regards

Re: Cisco Auto Attendant Customization

Hi Nouman -

Unity has call handlers which can be combined into a variety of custom audiotext applications. To begin the creation of a custom auto attendant with Unity and CCM:

1. Create a CTI route point in CCM, assign a dialable directory number and forward all to voicemail.

2. In Unity, create a call handler that has the same directory number. Record a greeting with menu options for callers, which could include the option to dial an extension at any time. Then assign Caller Input keys that match the menu options you mentioned in your greeting.

I've simplified the design work greatly. You can check out this link for further information on a great Cisco tool - http://www.ciscounitytools.com/APP_AudioTextManager403.htm

If you were looking to replace an existing recording with your own, you can do this, but it is not Cisco TAC supported and your prompts get overlaid with the next Unity install anyway. The preferred method is creating your own auto attendants.
