Hello,
I have been searching for a way to automatically reboot the Cisco MCS 7800 Series. When we have a power outage I need to go onsite to restart our 7800 to get our phones back up. I wanted to see if there is a way to have this start on its own after power has been restored.
Thank you,
Shawn

Have you looked into using Wake On LAN (WOL) support? Get your exact model and check the Cisco data sheet to see of WOL is supported. I am pretty sure it is supported on all HP and IBM series MCS servers. Then do some research on how to use WOL with HP / IBM servers. Looking at the native tools from the appropriate vendor (based on your model number).

Hi
Also check in the BIOS settings on the server or in the iLO card if you have it configured. On HP kit at least there is usually a 'state after power restore' type setting you can configure as 'last state' (i.e. if it was off before power cut, stay off, or if it was on, go on), 'always on' or 'always off'.
Regards
Aaron
