Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6

Hello Team,

Have you found any issues with CUBAC support for 9971 phones? I have a client that runs the following:

CUCM  8.5.1.13900-5

CUBAC 8.6.2.11

9971: sip9971.9-0-2

It works fine with the 7900 series, but not with the 9971. Basically I can see the incoming call, but when I try answering, it goes to voicemail instead. This behavior does not happen with the 79XX series phones.

The app user is assigned to a group with the following roles as listed on the installation guide.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Gerson

Re: Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6

Gerson,

Your 9971 is running on pretty old firmware i.e. 9.0.2 & Cisco had released firmware 9.2.4 in March ( click on 9.2.4 to see the firmware download site ). You might want to try upgrading the firmware to see if it fixes the issue for the phone model. As the issue is seen only on 9971 & other phones are fine, phone firmware can be suspected.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6

Park would use the Network hold audio source. Since we are talking about CUBAC I believe (but not 100% positive) that the audio source used by Media Resource Manager (MRM) would come from the CTI Ports you have assigned to the CUBAC app (likely the queuing ports) and NOT the operator phone. So, you may want to check that configuration.

If you are using a custom MoH file, then you want to ensure that the file is actually uploaded to the Publisher node and all IPVMS nodes in your cluster (any node that is providing MoH - look at your Media Resource Group [MRG]). If you only upload to the Publisher (and the Publisher is NOT a MoH server) then you want playout the music file sinc the MoH server streams from locally stored files.

If you are using multicast MoH (mMoH) then you need to ensure that the audio source is enabled mcast, the MoH server is properly provisioned with mcast params, the MRG is mcast enabled, and the network is delivering mcast end-to-end.

If none of this solves it for you, then you need to look at application log files to see if there are any errors logged.

Cisco Unified Business Attendant Console 8.6

Hi Anand,

Ok, I am was able to test successfully with 9971 phones. I now have a different issue I can't figure out. The CTI Services and Park is not playing any MOH when these services are evoked. I checked that there was a MOH file assigned to both the User and the Network as well as MRL, but nothing. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Gerson

Thanks for all your help. I was able to correct the problem. I double-checked the client's MoH servers, and realized he was missing the custom wav file.

Thank you,
