Anybody have or know where I could get a Keypad mapping for CUC to emulate a AVST Call Express System?

Thx .

there were a handful of "similar" key mappings we added for selection - but we were quickly threatened with legal action for emulating "proprietary" key maps (which is questionable legally but hey) so we had to be very, very careful about doing that.  As such we've relied mostly on users doing their own custom key maps so the lawyers don't need to get involved.

Hi there,

CUC does offer a Custom Keypad Mapping Tool;

Cheers!

I saw the tool but I was under the impression that there were canned keyboard maps for other popular voicemail systems that could be imported into CUC.

Hi there,

You are most correct that some of the CUC conversations emulate other popular voicemail systems but I don't believe any of the precanned conversations are based on AVST. In addition, I think that many of the AVST Key mappings are based on other voicemail systems as well (Octel, Meridian Mail, Centigram etc.) So if you are migrating users from AVST to CUC you'd really need to find out what their current keypad map looks like and then customize one of the CUC conversations using the tool linked above. We did this when we first moved users from an old Octel to CUC the closest match was Optional Conversation 1 . We went through each of the menus and tried to match the user input as closely as possible. It was a bit of a time consuming process but well worth it in the end.

Here are the CUC conversation user guides;

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/11x/user/guide/phone/b_11xcucugphone/Cisco_Unity_Connection_Phone_Menus_and_Voice_Commands.html

And similar guides from AVST;

Cheers!
