cisco unity dirt backup and restore

Hi

We are restoring the cisco unity backed up from the live unity server on to a backup server,So as in case of the faiure of the firts we could route it to second. But the backup unity is connected to diffrent exchange, ccm.

Plan--Backup the call handlers, config file,db through the dirt and restore it to new.

Problem----We are unable to restore it.The commserver in existing server is in d drive. But the commserver in our server(backup) is in c drive could that be a cause of proble?Do the drives need to be same.

2 Could we just change the subscribers id for the call handlers and use it as the same as the existing so that when the existing fails through the icm script we route the calls to the other unity with diffrent ids but same handlers.

What is the error message you are getting when trying to do a DiRT Restore ?? Do you have a restore logs available ??

Also, check the DiRT Helpfile. It has detailed information about how Restore works.

I may be wrong here but it sounds like you want to have a failover solution using DiRT.

If you want a standby Unity solution, I suggest looking at failover instead of DiRT.

Hi

We have manually created the call handlers and is working fine.Thanks.

Thanks and REgards
