Cisco unity is nearing capacity

Hi,

One customer has Unity(VM) hard drive (M drive) is nearing capacity. Is this most likely related to Exchange configuration on the server(circular logging)? or we just run NTBackup for the exchange store to clear logs will save it?

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

JJ

Re: Cisco unity is nearing capacity

Open a command prompt and type the following SQL commands to shrink the Unity DB

C:\osql -E

1>use UnityDb

2>go

1>backup log UnityDb with no_log

2>go

1>dbcc shrinkdatabase (unitydb)

2>go

exit

Then delete or move the transactional logs:

I recommend you to backup the Unity server on a daily basis using DiRT to avoid this problem.
