Description:
One or more messages have been held in the UnityMTA directory for 30 days. This directory is used by the Unity Messaging Repository service to temporarily store voice messages left by unidentified callers when the Partner Mail Server (EXCHANGE) is not available. Normally, these messages are delivered shortly after Cisco Unity detects that the partner mail server has come back on-line. Check that the partner mail server is on-line, including the mailstore, and that Cisco Unity can connect to it. If the partner mail server is on-line and reachable, to diagnose the problem, enable all the micro traces for the AvUMRSyncSvr service, restart the service, and then examine the logs.

The first thing that you should do is restart the AvUMRSyncSvr service, go to Start --> run and type services.msc and hit enter.
Then go to C:\CommServer\UnityMTA and see if you are still having stucked files in the failed folder, you could have that path on the D drive.
If you are still having the problem after that then go to the Tools Depot --> Diagnostic Tools --> Unity Diagnostic Tool, open the micro traces and enable the UMR traces gather the traces and open a TAC case for further assistance.

Hi -
If you get a message that remains in the UnityMTA\Failed directory, check the user. Is the user still a Unity subscriber? Has the user's mailbox\account been deleted? We very rarely see this, but it occasionally occurs. You may delete these messages then or contact the employee's supervisor for further instructions.
Sincerely, Ginger

Thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it.
However, the user's mailbox\account is enabled and is still a unity subscriber

Funny...I had the exact same thing happen at 3:09 this morning.
Restarting the service did the trick. You've got my 5 points.
It always pays to check here first
Thanks

After restarting the service, an hour later i get an actual error message(no longer a warning) saying the following but the user account is up and running and her mailbox is enabled. However, i have been monitoring the error and it has not occurred since.
