CM Translation Patterns for Speed Dials: Name Displays?

In using Translations Patterns in Call Manager (8.x) for system speed dial use, is there an option to display a name on the IP Phone when the Translation Pattern is dialed?  That is, we get dial-tone, dial the Translation Pattern digits, then we would see a displayed name of the Translation Pattern on the IP Phone.  The use of this would be that the person making the call will get a confirmation that they've used the correct Translation Pattern to call.  What is seen today is the number to which the Translation Pattern has translated.  Thank you.  Dan

Dan,

No, there is not way to do this with TP.

What you could do alternatively is build these as "DNs" not tied to phones, or CTI ports, or CTI route points for example where you would be able to see the Alerting Name from the DN configuration.

Chris:

Thank you for your answer to this question (and my previous questions too).  Would the DN approach still provide the "system speed dial" functionality?  The application for this is reduced dialing for outbound calls and the customer would like to see associated names.

Thanks for your responses.
