CME 4.1 - Conferences

Hi!

I'm not able to do a conference between 3 phones.

I have the "conf" soft key on the phones. I press it and dial the 3rd person number. The person answers the call. I have always one from the two people on hold; I can hear them simultaneously. Why?

I have:

"telephony-service

conference hardware

max-conferences 8 gain -6

"

Check for a codec mismatch. CME performs conferencing with G.711 natively. If you turn on a "debug ephone detail", in IOS, you will be able to see the conferencing error when it happens.

This was the result of the debug:

*Oct 15 14:21:06.105: ephone-4[1][SEPXXXXXXXXXXXX]:checkToOpenMultiMedia: FALSE - Incompatbile Video Codecs for phone-4 and phone-19

*Oct 15 14:21:06.109: ephone-4[1]:phone-4 codec list: H261=0, H263=0, VIEO=0

*Oct 15 14:21:06.109: ephone-4[1]:phone-19 codec list: H261=0, H263=0, VIEO=0

*Oct 15 14:21:06.109: dn_support_srtp phone 19 DN 13 chan 1 not support type 3

*Oct 15 14:21:06.109: SkinnyGetCallState for DN 16 chan 1 CONNECTED

*Oct 15 14:21:06.109: called DN 13 chan 1, calling DN -1 chan 1 phone 4 s2s:1

It looks like you are trying to set up a three way video conference? If you are you will need an H.323 MCU to bridge the video.

Otherwise try turning off the video capabilities on the ip endpoints and see if you can atleast get three way audio.

It's solved. I wasn't pressing the "confrn" soft key at the end. That was it.

Thanks
