COBRAS Export / Import VM message verification

Hi All,

I have a Unity Connection 7.1.3, users with messages need to be moved by COBRAS into a CUC 8.6 cluster.

After COBRAS Import I would like to compare/check the mailbox information (size, number of voicemail) on 7.1.3 and 8.6 system, to check if messages copied fine to the new server.

on CUC 7.1.3 the following settings applied:

Permanently  Delete Messages in the Deleted Items Folder in 21 Days

When I set COBRAS Export tool:

    Include  messages: True
    Include only messages newer: True
    Message age  filter days: 21
    Include secure messages: False
Include messages  for all subscribers: False
Include messages for only selected  subscribers: True

Export log  says:

[Thread 010], [12/05/03 09:03:13], Messaged download from server so far:  0

Does it mean, that those 11 messages had been 'maked' as deleted, but they are still in user mailbox, and will be deleted after 21 days, and as the messages 'marked' as deleted, COBRAS is not going to Export??

I have done an other Export (different user):

Include only messages newer: True
    Message age filter days: 21
     Include secure messages: False
Include messages for all subscribers:  False
Include messages for only selected subscribers: True

If my understanding is correct, it means, when a user marks a message as deleted, only after 21 days will be removed from the system and from his/her mailbox??? so here above, user has never deleted the messages so they are still in his/her mailbox?

and a 3rd Export, for the previous user, but different settings:

Include messages: True
   Include only messages newer: False
    Message age filter days: 21
     Include secure messages: False
Include messages for all subscribers:  False
Include messages for only selected subscribers:  True

log  file:

Does it mean that these messages have never been  deleted, so still in user VM box, but older than 21  days!

So my question: is there a way to compare user VM box size, number of messages somehow, so I could prove to my customer, that all of the required number of messages are moved?

what happens if change:

Permanently  Delete Messages in the Deleted Items Folder in 0 Days?

Does it mean if a user deletes a message, it will be deleted from his/her VM box right at that moment?
