The whole idea behind Converged IPT to manage everything in one domain. We have a customer who recently decided to move towards Cisco IPT and Cisco IPCC. According to SRND, Cisco recommends that IPT Servers should be placed in its own workgroup, and shouldn't be a part of Data Domain. (Customer has Microsoft AD domain for Data).
Unity will be placed in its own domain due to Exchange integration. Customer asked us to place IPCC Servers either in Microsoft Active Directory Domain or Unity Domain, but based on SRND, Cisco recommends that IPCC Servers should be in its domain for Security Reason.
Customer is kind of upset they will to provide two separate Hardwares for Unity Domain and IPCC Domain, and asked what is the point of Converged IPT if all three Cisco Applications (Call Manager, Unity, and IPCC in its own domain).
Does IPCC has to be in its own domain? or it is safe to put them under either Unity domain or Data Domain. Any Pros or Cons.
Any guidelines will be helpful to satisfy this customer.
Thanks
