CORBAS and server consolidation

Customer is wanting to do a consolidation of 5 Unity 4.x servers to a centralized Unity Connection 7 server.

1. Can Corbas move everything over in this situation? Or is it limited to one server to one server moves?

2. Can a 5 to 1 migration/upgrade from 4.x to UC 7 be done under ESW/UCSS?

help file covers some of this.

Before you begin importing from your various Unity backups make sure you've created all the phone integrations you want on the Connection side as well as all the COS instances and user templates and such.

During each import run COBRAS will ask you to "map" links to things like switch integrations (and COS, and schedules etc...). You can tell it to map users associated with swith X in the Unity backup with Switch Y in the Connection installation.

So presumably batches of users you're import will be associated with specific switch integrations on the Connection restore - should do what you want.

I can't speak to #2 as I'm just an egineering flunky - but for #1 the answer is definitley. This is exactly the type of thing COBRAS was designed to do. The help and training videos on the home page actually mention some of the challanges here. Be sure to read the "what's not included" sections carefully - it gets just about everything about subscribers, call handlers, interviewers and distribution lists - but nothing related to switch integrations, COS and some other items - make sure you plan ahead.

Perfect. Since this is going to create a multi switch integration where it previously didn't exist, is there a way to use a template or something to inject the correct switch id?
