Corporate Directories Button

Hello,

Is there a way to change the order of the directory's on an IP phone? So if someone hits the directory's it currently shows the following:

1: Missed calls

2: Received calls

3: Placed calls

4: Personal Directories (This Requires a login)

5: Corporate Directories

I have a customer who would like to move the corporate directories up, above the personal directories and have the personal directories last. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks!

John

This is probably a question that should be asked on the IP telephony forum - this is for Unified Communications products (Unity, Unity Connection, Unity Express, Meeting Place, MPE...).

Hi There,

I have a customer who wants to do the same.

Did you ever get a resolution to this?

Thanks in advance!

John,

By chance, did you get an answer to this question.

Thanks,

Tim

Unfortunately, the answer is you cannot reorder them.

Is there a way to create a custom shortcut to the corporate directory?

The owner of my firm wants the quickest access to the directory and does not use the new call soft key.

Any suggestions?

yes you can do an online web directory lookup

point your browser to:

http://yourCallManager/ccmuser/directory.asp

Change yourcallmanager to your call manager publishers IP or hostname.

Can you access that link from a phone though?

Our users don't access ccmuser.

The owner wants one button access to the corporate directory.

thanks,

Liz

This can be accomplished via another method, assign a soft key to a URI application, then input the URL previously discussed "http://%SERVER_IP%:8080/ccmcip/xmldirectory.jsp" . Set the text for the soft key to "Corporate Directory". This will allow your user to press the single soft key to access the Corporate Directory.

By chance does anybody know how to perform an online web directory lookup for an entry in the local directory of a Call Manager Express?

For CM 4.0 one can find entries like this:

http://yourCM//ccmcip/xmldirectorylist.asp?l=...&f

=...&n=...&start=... where f is the first name, l is the last name, n is the extension and start is an offset (a query will not return more then 32 entries). For CM 5.1 replace xmldirectorylist.asp with xmldirectorylist.jsp

Now for a Call Manager Express 4.0 the URL should be something like http://yourCM/ localdirectory/search however I can't guess the exact URL.

Thanks.

Do you have brief instructions, or tell me where to find them, on how to create a new soft key? CUCM 6.0.1

For those that have struggled with the Corporate Directory...

Got it!

You can create the URL to just the corporate directory and assign it to a line.

The IP Phone Configuration URL http://"your Pub Here":8080/ccmcip/xmldirectoryinput.jsp

I chose to add it as a Service URL button instead of a soft key. This way it's right there. One button!

saw your participation in this post and having the same challange.

would like to put corp dir on softkey but can't seem to figure out how.

can do ip phone service but would like to have it on softkey while on-hook.

any help would be appreciated.

Sorry but the only solution I found was a PLK, not a soft key.

I WANTED a soft key, but could not figure out how either.

The PLK solved the issue at my company and made the owner happy, which is my primary job.
