I'm installing cucm 8.5.

One step ask me to input NTP server, but none of NTP server works.

I noticed one solution that require a router serve as NTP server. But how should I configure the router?

Also be sure sure that whatever source you point the router to is a real NTP server, not SNTP which is what Windows uses. SNTP is a stripped-down implementation of NTP; IOS routers and Linux servers will not syncronize to SNTP sources.

Most customers have CUCM pointing to a router or two. These in turn are peered and syncronize from an NTP server on the internet.
