CUCM Upgrade 6 Fails on VMware Lab when upgrading from 6.1.3 to 6.1.5

Hi All,

I'm currently trying to upgrade my VMware Lab from CUCM 6.1.3. to 6.1.5.

The process seems to be near completion when I receive the following error:

" Error encountered: An unknown error occurred while accessing the upgrade file."

The MD5 hash is not an issue becuase I verified the file before hand. Also I get the same error if I upgrade

via SFTP  or DVD.

Please note I have pull an extract from the end of the log file below, I have also attached the logfile.

for anyone who may be able to assist.

Thanks in advance

Cisco strongly recommends that you use external NTP servers to ensure that system time is kept accurate. = Yes                 |<LVL::Info>

Re: CUCM Upgrade 6 Fails on VMware Lab when upgrading from 6.1.3

Hi Charles,

Please first try removing uk.pool.ntp.org as an NTP server (Cisco Unified OS Administration -> Settings -> NTP Servers), then re-attempting the upgrade.

Other than that, platformConfig.xml may need to be manually modified by TAC via root access.

Kind regards,

Craig

Hi  Craig,

Yes, I actuallly spotted the Issue after I made the Post, when going through the Log files from the bottom up.

The NTP remark was Glaringly obvious  starring me in the Face for several minutes.

Thanks all the same.

Cheers.

Charles
