CUCM6.1 - Fax

Hi!

I'm trying to communicate between two faxes located in different sites using their internal extensions. I can send faxes in both directions. When one of the multifunction devices (faxes) is printing a document (when it's busy) the fax does not arrive. Where is this behavior changed: CUCM configuration or fax machine configuration?

This is fax machine behavior.

Do you interface to this MFP with SIP/H323 or via FXS port?

If it's via FXS port you can use 'show voice call summary' and 'show voice port summary' to see the status of the port.

If it's SIP/H323, then you would need to look at CUCM logs to prove this.

But, I can tell you that CUCM has no control over the onhook-offhook status of the fax machine.

I HAVE A FAX IN FXS PORT BUT IT CAN NOT RECEIVE INCOMING CALLS FROM USER EXTENSIONS. YOU CAN DIAL OUT FINE TO USER EXTENSIONS AND EXTERNAL PSTN FXO NUMBERS TOO. ANY IDEA CAN BE HAPPENING. THANKS
