I have a 2851 with NM-CUE. I have the dial by extension script running on the CME/CUE system. There are voice quality issues when callers hear this prompt. When a caller calls in, and tries to serach for the name, it sometimes work without problems but if you hang on the phone for some time, the quality starts going bad and the prompt starts cutting in and out. I have verified that there are no errors on the GE or the service engine interface. Any suggestions what to look for?
CUE is just playing a .wav file. Unless you've got all tracing turned on or something--and even that's a bit of a stretch--it won't affect audio quality. Does this also happen with an IP phone registered (and local to) the 2851 CME? This might be something best worked via a TAC case. I would recommend getting a sniffer trace (with ethereal or something) attached to the phone--which should be local to the CME--and then take a look for jitter in the RTP stream.
