CUP integration with CUCM clustered over WAN

Hi,

We have a cluster of 3 CUCM servers, with the Publisher and one of the Subscriber at a single location and the other Subscriber at a different location. The cluster is running on version: 6.1.3.2000-1.

We would like to integrate a single CUPS server (version: 6.0.3.1000-12) with the CUCM cluster.

However, I read through a document that states "The Cisco Unified Presence cluster is not supported in Cisco Unified Communications Manager deployments with clustering over the WAN".

I am trying to integrate a single CUPS server and not a CUPS cluster with the CUCM cluster. Would like to know if I can go ahead with the integration requirement that I have or if I need to consider any other options.

I got a negative reply from PDI Helpdesk, which does not help.

I would really like to if someone has had a similar scenario or can advise for a workaround.

CUPS will interact with CUCM in the following ways:

1) SyncAgent will synchronize database from CUCM to CUPS via AXL.

2) Phone presence from CUCM to CUPS via SIP.

2) If you're using MOC RCC, there will be CTI connection from CUPS to CUCM.

Those are the things you need to consider during integration.
