CUPC and Cisco VPN Client - Presence Issue

When using the CUPC 8 client (8.0.153) remotely via Cisco VPN Client (5.0.05), I am getting inconsistant

Presence status. Most of the time (aprox 80%) the client does not show phone presence correctly. I have

done Wireshark captures and I can see what traffic I expect to see ( I check what I see in the office and

remote and they two captures look the same).

I have also connected using a CUPC 7 client at the same time and the CUPC 7 client always shows

Phone presence correctly.

TO me this seems likely to be a client issue. Has anyone seen similar behavour?
