CUPS 8.6.5 on VMWare

We are trying to build a VM server for CUPS 8.6.5 server for development but my server guy is having a few issues. When trying to get the new vm server to boot of the CD it always fails hardware check. We're trying to find the specs for the VMware build but are having no luck with this. Are there any links that you can point me to?
