date/time before message heard?

straight from one of my users:

I also have a suggestion. When retrieving voice mail messages, can the date and time of the message be provided before listening to it? For those of us who document incoming calls, it would be helpful. It's somewhat annoying to have to listen to the entire message and wait for the attendant to then give the date and time. I know it's trivial, but sometimes it isn't necessary to listen to the entire message, especially if it's lengthy.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help!

Yes there is. In Unity web admin, go to Subscribers -> Conversation. Towards the bottom, you will see "Before playing each message, play". You can check "Time the message was sent". This setting can also be applied to a Subscriber Template for application to new users.

I thought the default setting is to play after the message. So when you check the option Brandon just mentioned above, you might want to uncheck, the play after option. Otherwise you will hear the timestamp before and after, which is annoying.
