detection of a raid disk failure

what the way to detect a failure on a physical drive belonging to an array ?

Re: detection of a raid disk failure

Hi -

The failed drive will have a red X on it. If you have an HP server running HP System Tools, you can check the HP Array Configuration Utility. In the configuration view, you will see the failed logical drive as well. Also on the System management main page, you will see System status, which will also show a failed drive.

Re: detection of a raid disk failure

Thanks for your answer.

Now, is there a way to get this information automatically when it happens : by mail or SNMP OID change status ?

I don't want to connect every day to CUCM to check the HD status.

best regards
