Difficulties Obtaining 4.1.1 S/W

Has anyone else had problems locating the 4.1 Unity software on the Cisco site? This is for a fresh install, not upgrade. I follow the links to unity 4.1 s/w and get service packs and yes I log in w/ my CCO acct. Last Friday I was able to get cd1 so I recalled my IE history and was able to get cd2 and cd3.

Hi Beth and Cisco -

On the Voice Download webpage for Unity 4.1 there is this warning message "Images of Cisco Unity 4.1 CDs for upgrading 4.0 (5) systems to the 4.1 release can be downloaded via CCO. This download is NOT a substitute for an upgrade kit." I used the Product Upgrade Tool for my SAU contract number and do not see an upgrade kit option. Perhaps it has not been posted yet? I am currently running 4.0(5) on all Unity servers and want to upgrade to 4.1. From the warning, it sounds like I need to order the upgrade kit to be in compliance. I would appreciate advise and clarification from our Cisco experts. I also have a new lab server that needs a 4.1 fresh install for testing, whereby I would need all of the 4.1 CDs.

Thanks in advance,

Ginger

Hi Ginger:

This link is for Unity 4.1 cds 1, 2, & 3 only. http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/Tablebuild/tablebuild.pl/4yutni1

Link for service pack:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/unity-41

So are CDs 1, 2, and 3 only needed for a 4.0(x) to 4.1 upgrade?

If you are upgrading US English only.

Thanks for the direct link for the 4.1 software (http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Software/Tablebuild/tablebuild.pl/4yutni1 ). But the problem still exists for someone trying to obtain the software via the cisco.com links that takes them to the service packs. Hasn't anyone else run into this problem?

I opened a case with cisco last week and they are looking into it now. In the mean time, you will have to use that link provided.

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think no one else had the problem. I opened a TAC case last week and mentioned this to the engineer.

Beth

The link is fixed.
