Directory Handler question related 7 digits

We are deploying a centralized Unity voicemail server with a centralized CallManager.

The only way we can have 2000 users from remote locations is to have non overlapping Unity ID's. So we match them to the site code+4 digit extension.

Example: 8887123

We fixed CallManager so when the phone rings three times, it will roll into the 7 digit mailbox id in Unity.

What we have not fixed is how the Directory handler will work, if at all... the person can call in, hit the Directroy handler, then dial by name, but Unity transfer to CallManager... it rings 8887123.. do I need to have some sort of translation setup in CallManager to fix this?

Re: Directory Handler question related 7 digits

OK - what do you _want_ Unity to dial here? apparenlty not 8887123 - you want it to dial just 7123 perhaps?

Unity is just dialing what's configured for the subscriber's transfer string. By default this is their primary extension but it does not have to be - it can be anything. So it would be a matter of making the transfer string, in this case, 7123 instead of 8887123.

If that's not what you're getting at, let us know.

Re: Directory Handler question related 7 digits

Yeah, unity is dialing the 8887123.... so I took ccm and did a translation to 8887123 to 7123 and now it works.
