Customer wants to know exactly how much space is required for the DIRT. We are Unified with Notes so all I am backing up is Unit data no Msgs. Can someone give me a formula that is used. we roughly have 100 users..
Since you are not backing up information store, you can estimate the space you will need from the following:
- DiRT backs up UnityDB. If you select Reports, it also backs up ReportDB. You can review the size of these by going to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data
- DiRT backups up stream files. You can review the size of these by going to C:\CommServer\Stream Files. The number of files will vary depending upon how many greetings are recorded by your subscribers, i.e. Standard, Alternate, Closed etc.
Looking at these two areas should give you an approximate disk space requirement.
