In inheritied this system. I was told that we do not do any updates to the phone server or cisco equipment. The server shows the correct time (Central Daylight Savings Time) and is synced with an outside source.
In CME, shows the correct time as well. I did not see anyplace to set for daylight savings.
Our phones are an hour behind and I have to setup our Weekday hours in Unity to be from 7-4 so that they ring correctly for 8-5.
I looked up the phone model and it says they get the info from IOS.
I could not find a time setting on the GUI so I used telnet to get in on the 3650 and ran a show clock. On Friday March 28th, 2008 at 9 am it says it is Wednesday October 14th, 1994 at 2 pm.
I tried to update the Windows server for DST, but it said it already has a patch for it.
Any help would be nice as I know enough to be dangerous and really do not want to mess up the phone system. If I need updates or upgrades that will be safe to run I am more than willing to image the server and try them. Please also provide the correct patch name if possible as when I looked I found a bunch for CME 4.x(x) and I am really not sure how cisco configures thier file version numbers
Thanks for the reply. I did the summer time under the config terminal command. It now shows that the router popped an hour ahead (but date and time are still way off). I reset my phone and no change. It's only the phones that seem off at the moment. Any other suggestions?
Ok, I am the dummy. I was on the regular router and not the Phone router. I found that it was set to sync with the time server, but for what ever reason it was not working correctly. i made the summertime change so I will see if that fixes it.
Again, thanks Rob for the pointer in the right direction.
