Email messages showing up as voicemail

Whenever our users get system-generated emails, such as delivery receipts or delivery failures, they get a voicemail in Unity to notify them of that event. How do we turn this off? We still want to receive those messages, but as emails only.

Thanks, Karim

So you want to get rid of the fact that the return receipts are mentioned when you listen over the phone?

In order to achieve that follow the following steps:

1) Open the folder c:\commserver\Utilities\AdvancedSettingsTool and execute

UnityAdvancedSettingsTool.exe

2) Choose "Exclude return receipts from voice mail stack" and Set it to "1".

3) Then restart Unity

And just to follow up here... NDRs will always show up in the voice mail stack in versions of Unity prior to 4.0(1) - you can't turn them off... you can turn off delivery and read receipts as noted above.

In 4.0(1) and later all receipts are in their own stack seperate from voice, email and fax messages such that you don't have to wade through them in the voice mail stack.

Is there any way to turn off NDR's in unity 4.03.

Yes, 4.0(3) includes an "exclude all receipts" option in the advanced settings tool - be aware there's an outstanding bug with this feature and the message type menu option - see this bug for details:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCed86426&Submit=Search

This requires 4.0(3) SR1 or later to work, by the way - straight 4.0(3) doesn't offer this.

The link for the bug does not work.

I would like to put this setting on but would rather read the bug notes first.

Also I was reading that ver 4.04 ignores this setting. Is that because of the bug?

Thanks

PL

Is there a solution for 4.0.4 ?
