Enable Chat in CUPC 8.6

Hello Experts,

I'm trying to enable chat in CUPC but could not make it. I can only do voice calls but nothing else. I enable all the services on the CUPS except "XCP Text Conference Manager" as it refused to come up and keep not running.

what are the steps to enable chat in CUPC?

Chat should be on by default, there are no special services required.

Are you AD Intergrated?

User ID's must match whats in AD or CCM End Users.

Hey Amr,

As George mentioned, chat is enabled by default, however you need to keep in mind:

If adding users manually from CUPC, then make sure that the IM-Address is populated with userid@cupdomain and if you are using AD, then their userid in CCM must match their userid in LDAP.

If you don't see the bubble next to the contact name, i.e. Presence Bubble, you will be unable to chat with that contact. You can delete that contact and can either add manually or goto CUPS User Option Page and add it from their with just userid: https:///ccmuser
