Exchange 2003 with Data Store 2000

Hello Folks,

I am installing a Unity 4.2 with Exchange 2003. Can I use the Unity Data Store 2000? That's the only CD that I have.

The socond question is I am receiving an error message stating" Failed searching for Unity_GIUNITY01 in Active Directory Global Catalog. The SVR record may be missing the DNS table". Could you please let me know how can I add this name in the Active Directory?

Thanks,

Re: Exchange 2003 with Data Store 2000

Unity Data Store 2000 CD is SQL Server.

Failed searching for Unity_GIUNITY01 in Active Directory Global Catalog. The SVR record may be missing the DNS table

This issue is caused when the DNS server has either not been configured to resolve all

pertinent names (the Unity server itself, Exchange partner server, DC, GC). They must be

resolvable by FQDN as well as server name alone.

Check DNS entries on the DNS server and the nslookup command or try editing the hosts file.

Run nslookup

Configure hosts files to resolve FQDN of DC/GC

Check the tempu.log file for more details on where the actual problem is
