Hi Okan,

You could use the BAT Export from CCM 4.1 and then Import on CCM 6.1 but the .csv files will need to be tweaked. The look and feel of BAT on 6.x versions is a little different so you would have to experiment with what fields need to change before the actual Import is done. You can also use DMA which is probably the recommended path;

Here is the related info for CCM 4.x to CCM 6.1.x to migrate data using the DMA Utility;

Upgrading to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 6.1(1) from Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.x Releases

Release 6.1(1)

With the build of CCM 6.x you can choose the Windows Migration option. Just run the DMA on the old CCM 4.1(3) before you start and it will produce a .tar file that can be used to move the data across to the new version;

Import Windows Data

This option allows you to import database information from a Cisco Unified Communications Manager 4.x system by using a file that the Data Migration Assistant (DMA) tool produces.

Upgrading the First Cisco Unified Communications Manager Node

When you choose Windows Upgrade, the installation wizard prompts you for the location of the preexisting Windows configuration information that the Data Migration Assistant (DMA) tool created. See the Data Migration Assistant User Guide for more information on the DMA tool.

Step 1 - In the Windows Upgrade window, import data from a Windows version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager by choosing Yes

Hope this helps!

Hi,

But there is a little difference, I didnt upgraded I've installed 6.1 to new server. Can DMA works with that way also?

Also the second link seems to be dead.

Thanks

DMA only works when used during the install, not when the system is already installed.

it really doesn't matter if you mention it's a new server or the old server, anyway you need to blow out all the info from the server and install it again. during the install you get to choose if it's going to be a fresh install or an upgrade, if upgrade you're prompted for the tar file

Hi Okan,

I think that this is just a difference in terminology. If you have a CCM 4.1 deployment and are moving to CCM 6.1 then this is considered an "Upgrade" even when moving to new Servers. You can still use DMA to move the data to the new box as long as you create the DMA .tar file on 4.x and choose the Windows Upgrade when building 6.x on the new servers.

Here is the broken link (sorry about that :)

Hope this makes sense!
