Express Messaging in Unity

We are looking at setting up an “express messaging” type system with Unity 4.0(4)SR1. What we are looking for is for someone to be able to dial unity, enter a mailbox number, and leave a message for that subscriber. So far we haven’t found any way to do that. Our end goal is to accomplish this and avoid any extra keystrokes.

Is this possible?

Here is at least one way you might consider if your using Unity with Call Manager.

Once you have the CTI Route Point set up as described in this tech note, subscribers will be able to go offhook, dial * and get routed directly to the subscribers personal greeting. This would be even fewer keystrokes because effectivly the VM pilot number is replaced with a single digit, *.

Also remember that from almost anywhere in the Unity conversation you can dial #2 to go directly to a subscriber's greeting.
