Planning for upgrade of exchange 5.5 to 2003 and unity from 2.4.6 to 4.newest

As part of the migration we need to have exchange 5.5 co-exist with 2003. The Active directory connector(ADC) needs exclusive use of "extension-Attribute-10" a.k.a. "employee number in exchange 5.5. There are four accounts with unity-related information and I'd like to know if there's any danger to Unity if we install the ADC.

The four accounts look like this:

DN extension-attribute-10

default3a70d207,Locations,Unity 3332858

default3db29026,Locations,Unity 3332858

default3a70d207,PwPolicies,Unity 0

default3db29026,PwPolicies,Unity 30

Yes, there is danger.

If you use the ADC make sure it's a one way replication from the Unity Exchange server in question out to AD and does not come back - the ADC does not do a hot job of pulling the object information back and will mangle some objects (call handlers, location objects etc...). As long as the replication is setup as one way you shoud be OK.
