I have a NM-CUE 2.2.1 in a 3725 running 12.3(11)T IOS with CME 3.2. The router got hosed and was replaced. I had to use the same flash, however. Now, everything works but I get a "login failed" when trying to access the CUE through the GUI. I can access the CME through the GUI but the CUE fails for the Admin and users access. I re-extracted the tar files on the flash, I checked the accounts using the sysdb and the telephony Admin, they are the same. I did debugs on the CME (debug ip http) but there was no output. The config statements are in the CME for http pointing to the flash. I did traces on the CUE and there was nothing relating to web login. It appears that it's not getting past a certain point in the authentication. What else can I check or test? Thanks.
Login failed tends to be a pure authentication problem. Did you create an administrator account and run the init wizard on CUE after install (this is independent of the CME admin account for its GUI). You could access the CUE via CLI and look at the user names with the "sh group detail groupname Administrators" command to see which users are members of the administrators group. Then "user xyz password abc" will reset a user's password. Then you can use xyz user to log into the CUE GUI.
