Final error installation Unified Presence

Hello

we are trying to install Cisco Unified Presence,

but at the end of the installation process we have this error

 

The installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error....

 

Script "/opt/cisco/install/bin/pmNormalizeGeneric /etc/opt/cisco/install/component_install_cmd_list"

 

exited with error (1).....

 

what could be the reason for this error?

Did the ISO pass the media

Did the ISO pass the media check and/or an MD5 hash verification?

Also, is this running on supported hardware?

we have not yet verified the integrity of the ISO,but last night we tried to re-launch the installation and in the final step we have this error
 

"/usr/local/cm/script/cm-dbms-install install PostInstall 10.0.1.10000-26 /usr/local/cm/ /usr/local/cm/ /common/log/install/capture.txt " failed (1)

It is possible to know what is the purpose of this post-installation script?

We have verified the ISO and

We have verified the ISO and it is OK.

But now we have NTP error on installation

We have used the same NTP server for CUCM and CUPS

admin:utils ntp status
ntpd (pid 19776) is running...

  time server re-starting

Hello the installation still fails this error

this is the VM server

 

        2 vCPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 0 @ 3.30GHz

        Disk 1: 40GB, Partitions aligned

        4096 Mbytes RAM

 

 

this is the hardware of the physical server

 

 

HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2640 0 @ 2.50GHz

SO: VMware ESXi 5.1.0 799733

 

Dell PowerEdge R720

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2643 0 @ 3.30GHz

SO: VMware ESXi 5.1.0 799733

Cisco Employee

Those VM specs do not match

Those VM specs do not match any possible OVA option, use a supported VM.

You do realize that doc is

You do realize that doc is for CUPS (meaning 8.X version), right?????

And that you previously said you were using OVA for IM&P 10????????

If you really, used the OVA, then that means that you modified it afterwards, which is not supported

And even if you were following the specs from the link you posted... they don´t match any spec!!!!

Again, use the OVA for whatever version you´re installing, and don´t change absolutely anything.

Hello, I have a similar

Hello, I have a similar problem, I'm installing IM&P v10.5.2 on BE6000S, using cucm_im_p_10.5_vmv8_v1.1.ova file selecting option for 1000 users, after more than a hour after initiating installation I got the error and system is halt.

Any idea how to fix this failure??

Hi , I have the same issue , did you fix it?

Here is the description of

Here is the description of actions to avoid the error in the case you have to install an unrecoverable IP&P server. This helped me to do an successful install. There is one step which is misleading but easy to fix. Step 4b asks you to remove the Pub from the redundancy group which is not possible, you have to delete the redundancy group.

Looking into version 11, it seems that these hoops are not needed anymore.
