Get CPU-Usage through SNMP on Cisco Unity Connection?

Hello All,

I'm trying to collect CPU-Usage information on our Cisco Unity Connection Server Version: 8.0.3.

It is the subscriber/secondary Unity Server that I am having the problem with... For some reason between the Publisher and the Subscriber they have different MIB databases, and the OID that works for the publisher is NOT working with the subscriber.

The OID I'm using is for the Publisher is:

CPQHOST-MIB     |    1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.3.1.1.2.0     |    cpqHoCpuUtilMin.0

Which gives the average CPU-Usage per one minute.

I'm assuming that it doesn't work on the SUB is because both servers are probably made by different manufacturers.

When I do a MIB Walk of the SUB some of the MIB Databases are:

  • RFC1213-MIB
  • IP-MIB
  • TCP-MIB
  • HOST-RESOURCES-MIB
  • SYSAPPL-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-HEALTH-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-ASSETID-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-LMSENSOR-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-NETWORK-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-MEMORY-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-POWER-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-PROCESSOR-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-SMART-MIB
  • IBM-SYSTEM-MIB
  • CISCO-CDP-MIB
  • CISCO-SYSLOG-MIB
  • CISCO-SMI
  • and a couple more....

Of the one's listed above there are a few that mention CPU and CPU Sensor but can't find one that would indicate a CPU-Usage Percentage.

For example:

1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.1.1.140.1.1.1.4.99.112.117.49     |     ibmSystemProcessorKeyIndex.4.99.112.117.49     |     CPU1

1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.1.1.140.1.1.12.4.99.112.117.49   |     ibmSystemProcessorDeviceID.4.99.112.117.49      |     CPU1

1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.1.1.140.1.1.14.4.99.112.117.49   |     ibmSystemProcessorCPUStatus.4.99.112.117.49  |       1

1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.1.1.140.1.1.15.4.99.112.117.49   |     ibmSystemProcessorStatus.4.99.112.117.49         |      OK

If anyone is familiar with these MIBs or knows which OID is the correct one I'm looking for please let me know...

I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks in Advance,

Matt
