How can I restrict the iMAP access?

I have 10 iMAP licenses and configured Max connection in voice only off-box Exchange server to "10".

The question is how can I assign only 10 specific users to access the voice mail via iMAP. looks everyone able to configure iMAP if they know the iMAP server IP address and account. There are allowed IP address list but its useless for the mobile LATPOP users.

Advise please,

Re: How can I restrict the iMAP access?

You can enable/disable IMAP on a per user basis from Active Directory. In Active Directory Users and Computers, go to user properties and click the Exchange Features Tab. You can enable/disable from here.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Re: How can I restrict the iMAP access?

John,

Sorry, disabling IMAP through ADUC is a feature of Exchange 2003. You can, however, use ADSI to disable IMAP on AD accounts. Take a look at the following link. You might consider scripting this if you have a large number of users to disable IMAP for.
