Check in the Bulk Edit Tool. I know you can customize how Unity TUI interfaces with the subscribers to "play messages press x" "skip message, press x" They leave this up to the admin to configure. large companies with old VM systems may have the users familar with pressing "1" to play messages where as in other systems it is "3" to play voicemails. So you should be able to tinker with the Caller Input on a subscriber or a Bulk Edit for Subscibers to add zero to the operator.

Check out the Unity tools and what version you have. The tool will describe what you can and can't do.

hope this helps

Actually, BulkEdit doesn't have anything to do with the conversation at that point - the subscriber conversation (press 1 for new messages, 2 to send a message etc...) is not the same as the user input keys you're talking about that you can manipulate via the SA and BulkEdit - those are keys active while the user's greeting is playing that outside callers can activate.

The subscriber conversation can be customized to a degree if you're running 4.0(5) or later - check out the Custom Key Mapping tool here for details:

That's what i was looking for. Custom key Mapping. That *should* do the trick for this issue they are having. I couldnt remember... ugg...
