How to change a batch of CU mailbox including aliases?

Hello,

We want to change all mailbox users from 4 digits to 5 in our CU (Cisco Unity Connection version: 9.1.1.20000-32). We have around 3500 users.

Please, note that we were using the same 4digits of the extension to identify aliases.

We want to keep current configuration (messages, pin, password, etc.) but we want to modified Alias* and Extensions* from 4 to 5 digits in batch.

How can we do that?

the Alias and Extension update utility should be able to help here:

be sure to test it with a couple users and make sure the end result is what you're looking for before pulling the trigger on the whole mess, of course... if these users are LDAP integrated or the like it may cause problems since the LDAP engine (running under VOS) will "lose" the link to users when their aliases change and such...
